Terms of Service

The service

8MM generates images and video with AI models and edits them into a film. You pay in credits: every button that spends says how much BEFORE you press it — that is a rule of the product, not a courtesy.

You need an account and you must be 18 or over.

Credits

• They never expire — what you buy stays yours as long as you have the account.
• They are charged when generation starts — because that is when the provider charges us.
• If a generation fails through our fault or the provider’s, you get them back — automatically, without having to ask.
• They are not convertible to money — and cannot be transferred to another account.

What you create is yours

The films, images and text you produce with 8MM are yours, and you may use them commercially, advertising included. We claim no rights over them.

One exception, and only if you ask for it: the films you allow us to feature on the public showcase. That permission is given in words and withdrawn in words.

What we ask you not to do

• Real people’s faces without their consent — neither for avatars nor as reference. It is also a provider rule: such requests are refused.
• Sexual or violent material, or anything exploiting minors — the account is closed with no refund.
• Passing generated material off as real — where it could deceive someone: fake news reports, fake statements by real people, fabricated evidence.
• Content you have no rights to — trademarks, characters and other people’s work uploaded as reference remain your responsibility.
• Reselling access — the API and MCP are for your own work, not for building an identical service on top.

What we cannot promise

Generative models get things wrong. A scene may come out different from what you asked, a face may shift between shots, text inside an image may be unreadable. That is not a service fault, and it is why the price is written up front: the spend is yours and you decide it.

We depend on external providers. If one of them is down, that part of 8MM is down. We do our best to say so plainly rather than leave a button spinning.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Storage

Included storage depends on your pack; without one it is one gigabyte. Whole clips stay thirty days alongside the edited version, test shots seven. When storage is full the service tells you before you spend, and offers to free it or extend it.

Downloading the films that matter to you, or sending them to your Drive, remains the safest thing you can do.

Payments and refunds

Payments go through Stripe. Credits already spent are not refundable, because the provider cost has already been incurred. Unspent credits are refunded if you ask within fourteen days of purchase.

If a generation fails, credits come back on their own: that is not a refund, it is our mistake undone.

Closing

You can close your account whenever you like, and your films and files go with it. We may close it if the prohibited uses above occur, and in that case remaining credits are not refunded.

If we change these terms

We write it here and update the date. If a change makes your position worse, we say so by email before it takes effect, and you may close the account and be refunded for unused credits.
